Sonja Mereu was born in New York City to artist parents who instilled a passion for movies in her at a young age. She attended UC Davis, studying Women’s Studies and Film, and went on to earn a teaching credential in Special Education. Sonja now lives in Los Angeles and divides her energies between teaching and producing films. As a producer, she strives to make films that portray complex and important issues with compassion and style.
David Theodore Chiu graduated in 2007 with a Master of Fine Arts from the University of
Miami. Prior to that, he studied History with a Religious Studies minor at the University of
California, Davis and graduated with Highest Honors. (His senior thesis was on one of the
little-known forefathers of the fantasy novel, David Lindsay.) An enthusiastic world
traveler and amateur photographer, David has photography collections from Paris, London,
Sydney, Beijing, Israel, Italy, Maine, and Alaska, just to name a few places.
